Frank B. May, Veedersburg businessman and a highly esteemed
citizen of Fountain County, died at his home on North Main St,
Veedersburg, Wed Dec 31, 1941 following an illness of several
weeks from complications. Mr. May had been in business in
Veedersburg for 22 years and was proprietor of May News stand
during that tie. He also served as city clerk for Veedersburg and
for sevearl years was automobile license branch manager for
Veedersburg. He was born at Crawfordsville, Indiana, Aug 29, 1864
the son of Gabriel and Laura Vories May. His early life was spent
in Carroll County, Kentucky. He graduated from Wabash College in
1888. On Aug 9, 1893, he was married to Margaret Eleanor Booe.
They located in Ky. and moved to Veedersburg in 1914. Survivors
are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Francis Martin, and a
granddaughter, Mary Ann Martin, all of Veedersburg, and one
sister, Mrs. Paul T. Coats of Christianburg Ky. Funeral services
were held at the Veedersburg Christian Church of which he was a
member, Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. OW McGaughey
officiating with J. Fred Parham in charge. Burial was at the
Rockfield Cemetery.
