of Tobe and Susan Marshall, and was born at Waveland, Ind., July
13, 1884, where most of his life was spent and where his parents
now reside. Some ten years ago he moved to Crawfordsville to take

the dread disease, tuberculosis, but with a brave fortitude kept
going to work as long as he possibly could. At the early age of
32 he was called from this earthly habitation, passing on on
August 18, 1916, leaving behind to mourn their loss, a wife, two
little girls, and a boy baby six months old, a father, mother,
five brothers, three sisters and a host of friends. He has been a
member of the Methodist Church at Waveland for many years and all
who have known him admire his courage, patience, and loving
disposition." Those present from a distance were: Mrs. Joseph
