Mangrum - John

Friends here have heard of the death of John Mangrum, son of
MV Mangrum, superintendent of the Waveland School in 1900-01. He
was an engineer by profession and had been in Atlanta for some
time but had been transferred to Nashville, where he became ill
with appendicitis. He was making a good recovery from the
operation but death resulted from a blood clot. He was 31 years
old and was to have been married in June. MV Mangrum is principal
of the grade schools in Evansville. Mrs. Mangrum was also a
former teacher, Miss Grace Harris. - transcribed by kbz
