Mahoney - Cain
Source: Mercury Newspaper, Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana Aug 25, 1877
Two of Ladoga's old Irish settlers died here last Friday, Cain MAHONEY aged about 60 and Mary MAHONEY 75. The old lady had been quite crazy for several months nad had been in the county poor house a short time this summer. A double wake was held here Friday night and both bodies taken to Holy Ground at Crawfordsville for burial.
Note: The "Holy Ground" is the Calvary Cemetery (Catholic Cemetery) north of Crawfordsville. Mary's dates are 1809-1877 and Cain is not in the index. There was also an Anna who died about a month before they did (whether from Ladoga do not know) - she was 15 years old
