Lynch - Earl

DARLINGTON – Earl Lynch, 83-year-old former resident of this community, died Saturday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Burns, in Hilea, Fla. He was born April 2, 1878, in Darlington, a son of George B. and Adaline Hughson Lynch. Mr. Lynch was associated with his father and brothers in bridge construction in this area before moving to Daytona Beach, Fla. a number of years ago. After moving to Daytona Beach he continued to work in the construction business. He had made his home with his daughter since his wife, Bertha, died several years ago. Mr. Lynch was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach and was a deacon in the church. Survivors, in addition to the daughter at whose home he died, include a brother, John E. Lynch of Darlington; and two sisters, Mrs. Bert Brainard of Thorntown and Mrs. John Remley of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Begget and McIntosh Funeral Home at Daytona Beach. Interment will be in a Daytona Beach cemetery. – jlr
