Word reached this city Friday of the death of Mrs. Jennie Katherine Lydick at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Badgley in Lebanon. Mrs. Lydick passed away Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Badgley in Lebanon. Mrs. Lydick passed away Thursday morning about 7 o'clock following a year's illness from complications. Mrs. Lydick was born Dec 9, 1849 at Waveland, the daughter of William and Sarah Canine. She was united in marriage to William A. Lydick Sept 1, 1866. 7 children were born, 3 dying in infncy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville and a highly respected woman. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gibson Wilson at Rushville, Ind and Mrs. Charley Badgley of Lebanon with whom she lived. 10 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bell Davis of Frankfortt and Mrs. Clara Thompson of Crawfordsville, and two brothers, George Canine of Waveland and Jackson Canine of Crawfordsville, also survive. The funeral service was conducted this morning from the Baptist Church here at 10 o'clock with Rev. D. Heitmeyer in charge. Burial was made at Indian Creek cemetery. - kbz
