Mrs. Ruth Miller Ludy, 92, a teacher for many years in the Lafayette City schools died at 6:05 p.m. Monday in Home Hospital. She had been in failing health for several years and in the hospital since June 5. She was born Sept 17, 1892 in Waynetown and came to the Lafayette area in 1926. She resided at 600 Russell St, WL before moving to Westminister Village, 2741 N Salisbury St, WL. Mrs. Ludy graduated from Indiana State University at Terre Haute and was a music teacher and librarian. She taught 7th and 8th grades at both Centennial and Linnwood schools. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church; life member of Athens Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Crawfordsville; member of Purdue Womens Club; Homecraft Club; a 55-year member of Tippecanoe County Historical Society and 50-year member of Lafayette Art Association. Her marriage was June 22, 1929 in Waynetown to Waynetown to LV Ludy a Purdue University professor. He died Nov 8, 1952. - kbz
