Veedersburg—Services were at 2 p.m. today in Crawfordsville for Daniel Lowery, 51, of Veedersburg Route 4. He died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 1974, at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville.
Mr. Lowery had been ill nine months and hospitalized for nine days.
The Burkhart Funeral Home of Crawfordsville was in charge. Burial was in Mace K of P Cemetery at Mace, Ind. The Rev. Frank Ryan officiated.
Mr. Lowery had been employed by the Fountain County Highway Department until his illness. He was a member of the Church of God Full Gospel and was a veteran of World War II.
Born March 18, 1923, at Mace, he was the son of Michael and Anna McClure Lowery. On Dec. 28, 1952, in West Lebanon, he married Mary m. Huey, who survives. They resided in Perrysville before moving to the Veedersburg address.
Survivors also include three sons, Jerold D. of Covington, Gerald W. and Frank D., both at home; five sisters, Mrs. Bessie Shelley of Veedersburg, Mrs. Grace Myers of Alabama, Mrs. Mildred Shoaf and Mrs. Elizabeth Gilliland, both of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Gladys Tibbitt of Kingman; five brothers, Warren of Florida, Chester and Oscar, both of Browns Valley, Frank and Louis, both of Crawfordsville; and a grandson.
