Thelma M. Lowe, 52, 605 Illinois St., for the last 27 years bookkeeper for the Symmes & Williams Electric Shop, died Saturday night in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient since Sept. 5. She was a daughter of Emory Clarence and Ida Marcrum Lowe and was born here Feb. 26, 1911. She was a 1929 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Prior to employment at the electric firm she worked in the predecessor of the Sommer Metalcraft Corp. Miss Lowe was a member of the First Christian Church and of its Circle IV. Surviving are the mother; four brothers, Alfred B. and Robert L. of Crawfordsville, Walter E. of Lafayette and Ora E. of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. George Weliver and Mrs. Morris Beach of Crawfordsville; an uncle, Bert Lowe of Lindsay, Calif., and an aunt, Mrs. Sherman Elmore of Crawfordsville. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Monday. Rev. Paul E. Million of Lafayette will officiate, and burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. – jlr
