Lowe - Leslie Earl

Hillsboro - Leslie E. Lowe, 69, a native of Hillsboro died Sunday in a nursing home at Tulsa, Oklahome after an extended illness. A retired building and road construction company employee, he had worked at Bringham, Utah since 1941. An officer of WWII, he was a prisoner of war in POland for nine months. Born May 7, 1909 at Wallace, he was the son of Albert & Cora Thomas Lowe. He was graduated from Hillsboro HS. He married in 1937 at Kentland to Ressa Husted. She survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Martha Thomas of Tulsa; three borhters, George and Morris of Crawfordsville and John of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Clinton (Lena) FLorey of Attica; an uncle, J. Bon Thomas of Green Corner (Grange Corner?) and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Thomas Funeral Home at waynetown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. --kbz
