Lough - Carrie Short

Waynetown – Mrs. Carrie A. Lough, 76, of Rt. 1, Waynetown was found dead in her home at 5 a.m. Sunday, three miles east of Mellott, apparently having suffered a heart attack. Mrs. Lough lived all her life in the Waynetown area. She was a member of the former Antioch Christian Church. She attended Mellott High School. Born Sept. 25, 1904, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Mary Jane Warrick Short. She married Marvin Lough of Hillsboro on Aug 25, 1921. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Mary Jane) McClain of Waynetown and Mrs. Max (Margaret Jean) Mitchell of Mellott; a brother, Walter F Short of Rt. 1, Waynetown; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, grandchild, brother and two great-grandchildren are deceased. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. smc
