Mrs. Malinda B. Loop, 83, widow of Dr. Aubrey L. Loop, died at noon Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Forrst V. Howell, 1004 W. Pike St. She had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Loop was born Sept. 4, 1877, in Shannondale, the daughter of George and Katherine Burroughs Young. She was married in 1901 to Dr. Loop, a Crawfordsville physician who died in 1942. The Deceased was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church and a prominent clubwoman. Organizations to which she belonged include The DAR, Flower Lovers Club, Current Events Club, Home Economics Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Betsy Ross Club, Forget-Me-Not Club, PEO and Busy Bunch Club. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Loop is survived by a son, Aubrey Y. Loop of Bloomington, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. EST Saturday at the Hunt and Son Mortuary in charge of Rev. John DeKruster, pastor of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Shannondale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p. m. Friday Note: Mrs. Malinda B. Loop is the former Malinda Burroughs Young. George and Katherine Burroughs Young are George Thomas Young and Margaret Catherine Burroughs.
