Arthur R. "Pete" Lookabill, 78, 907 Wayne Avenue died Monday afternoon at Culver Hospital. Mr. Lookabill was operator of Pete's Green House and was a refrigeration maintenance man for dairies in the area. He was the first auxiliary policeman in Crawfordsville and served 25 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Mr. Lookabill was born Feb 17, 1894 in Putnam County, a son of William and Lidia Welsh Lookabill. He attended Raccoon School. He married Feb 10, 1924 to Worth Scott. Surviving with the widow is a niece, Mrs. Lelia Allman of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by a brother, John and sister, Mae Williams. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial will be in Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p. m. Wednesday. - kbz
