Irvin T. Lookabaugh, 50, died Monday night at his home at 1718 Allison St. in Speedway City. He had been in failing health for several months and seriously ill for the past few weeks suffering from a heart ailment. Born in Crawfordsville on Aug. 19, 1913, Mr. Lookabaugh was the son of John T. and Ruth Sanford Lookabaugh. On Aug. 19, 1933, he married Anna D. Harshbarger. Mr. Lookabaugh was the manager of the main Firestone Store in Indianapolis at the time of his death. He had been with the company for the past 27 years working in the Crawfordsville store and as manager in Anderson before moving to the Indianapolis store. He was a member of the Speedway Christian Church. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Linda White of Indianapolis; a son, Stephen, a student at Ball State Teachers College; his mother of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Buck of Crawfordsville, and a grandson, Stephen White, at home in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Dr. John DeKruyter will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway after 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Thursday.
