Chico, Calif – Mary Emma James Long, 80, died Oct 8, 1992 at Enloe Hospital, Chicago, Calif. A native of Crawfordsville, Ind born Nov 19, 1912 had resided in Chico since 1957 coming from Reno where she had lived since 1934. Mrs. Long gave piano and organ lessons. She attended Indiana University, Jordan Conservatory of Music and was a member and organist for Congregational Church and civic organizations. Surviving are her husband, John T. and daughter, Sandra Burke, both of Chico; sister Joanne Roberts of Reno; brothers Estan James of Roseville, Calif and Dr. Ernest James of Lowell, Ind; several nieces and nephews; two grandchildren and one great grandchild., Burial was at Chico Cemetery under the direction of Van Hook Funeral Home. - kbz
