Long - George Monroe

George Monroe Long, 58, a former resident of Crawfordsville, died Wednesday morning in his home at Carson, Calif. Mr. Long was employed by R. R. Donnelley & Sons when he resided in this area. At the time of his death he was employed as a photo engraver. He was born in Parke County July 10, 1912, to Joseph and Pearl Dowden Long. He married Mary Frances Becklehimer on March 25, 1934. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Patricia) Norris of Torrance, Calif.; two brothers, Ora Long of Lafayette and Russell Long of Judson; a sister, Mrs. Paul DeLano of Altadena, Calif.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Rose Hill Mortuary at Whittier, Calif. Other arrangements are incomplete. – jlr
