Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen LYDICK who died at the  St. Elizabeth Hospital Lafayette Tuesday April 23, were conducted  at her home here Friday in charge of her pastor, Rev. Claude  McCallister. The sermon was delivered by her former pastor, CN  McBrayer. Mrs. Lydick was born near New Richmond, Feb 5, 1874,  and was united in marriage to Charles Lydick Aug 11, 1911 at  Lafayette. Mr. and Mrs. Lydick were faithful and active members  of the Methodist Church. There survive her daughter, Mrs.  Elizabeth Peck of Waveland, a foster daughter, miss Nell McCord  of Toledo Ohio and two granddaughters, Lura Ellen and Sara Louise  Peck. Burial was by the side of her husband in the Sugar Grove  Cemetery near New Richmond. Those attending from out of town were  Miss Nellie McCord of Toledo; Mrs. CT Stallard, Mrs. Davis  Stallard, Mrs. Ethel Elvery, Donald Stallard, Mr. and Mrs. JH  Hendricks, Mrs HR Skinner, Mrs. HB Taylor of Lafayette; James  Every of Champaign, Ill; Arthur Davidson of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs.  John Stewart; Miss Edna Dethenner, Mrs. Laura Wise of West Point,  Indiana; Mrs. RL Williams, Miss Gertrude Peck, Mr. and Mrs.  Pierson of Indianapolis. Mrs. Theron Banta played 3 special  hymns, Beautiful Isle of Somewhere; The 99, and It is Well With  My Soul as the music of the service.
