John M. Lucas, age 85, died at his home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Death was caused from complications and followed an illness of 3 weeks. Mr. Lucas was born Jan 28, 1857 in Knox Co, the son of Robert and Jeremima Tinwood Lucas and on Oct 16, 1901 was married to Kathryn Barnett. He was ... and had lived in this community for 23 years. He was a member of the Waveland Baptist Church. Surviving besides the wife is a daughter, Mrs. AL Thomas of Indianapolis; two grandsons; four brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home in charge of Rev. McBrayer. Burial in New Discovery Cemetery. - typed by kbz
