James Loftus, the tailor who has been ill at the home of Mrs. Carroll on the corner of market and Walnut, for the last three weeks of typhoid fever, died this morning at 2 o’clock. His home was in Avon, NY and his brother, John of this place was with him in his last hours. The deceased was 24 years old and a good Catholic, the last sacrament of that church being administered to him several days since. The remains will be shipped to his home at Avon, NY for burial.
