New Richmond -- George C. Livingston, 85, a business man in New Richmond for more than half a century, died at 7 o'clock Saturday morning at his home here. He had been in failing health several months. Born July 12, 1864, in Tippecanoe county, Mr. Livingston was the son of Samuel and Martha Livingston. He married Carrie Wilson, who died in September, 1942. He was a member of the New Richmond Methodist church. During his more than 50 years of business activity, Mr. Livingston operated a livery stable, grocery store and restaurant in New Richmond. Surviving are a son, Samuel Livingston, of Loon Lake, N. Y., and three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Weaver, of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Clarence Weyls, of Pine Village, and Mrs. John Poe, of Grand Rapids, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock (CDT) Monday afternoon at the New Richmond Methodist church. Burial will be at the New Richmond cemetery. Rev. A. A. Schenck, pastor of the church, will officiate. Friends may pay their respects at the residence.
