Walter H. Linn, 80, who practiced law in this community for the last 53 years, was found dead at his home Saturday afternoon. He had died in his sleep during the night or early morning. Mr. Linn had been at his law office Friday. He was born in Mace Sept. 8, 1883, a son of John W. and Anna Martin Linn. He was married to Elizabeth Graham in 1908. His second marriage was in 1937 to Marie Miller. Both are deceased. Surviving are a son, Dr. Graham Linn of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Evans of Virginia City, Mont.; a sister, Miss Laila Linn of Crawfordsville, and seven grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Linn was a graduate of Mace High School and Wabash College and attended the Columbia University Law School. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and a past president of its House Association. He was a member of the Montgomery County and Indiana State Bar Association. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Mr. Linn served two termed as prosecuting attorney here. Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call. Rev. W. Goddard Sherman will officiate, and interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.
