Emerson B. Linn, 59, former Crawfordsville and area resident, died suddenly Thursday evening at his home in Washington, D.C. He was a retired employe of the government printing office there. He served his apprenticeship at the Crawfordsville R. R. Donnelley & Sons plant. He was the son of Bertrand and Edith Bowen Linn, who lived at Mace at the time of his birth. He was married in Crawfordsville Oct. 2, 1947, to Mildred Scott. Linn served in the Navy for four years. He was a member of the American Legion, King Solomon Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Almas Shrine Temple. He was a graduate of New Ross High School in 1928. Survivors include the widow’s two brothers, Norwin M. Linn of Mace and John Linn of Indianapolis, and one niece. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, and Masonic rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday night at 8. Friends may call at the funeral Home after 4 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
