Linn - Cecil

NEW ROSS – Cecil M. Linn, a native of this community, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday of a heart attack at his home at Chattanooga, Va. He was born two miles west of New Ross April 26, 1898, a son of Morten E. and Esta Brown Linn. On May 3, 1923 he was married to Dorothy Marie Broz in Indianapolis. Mr. Linn left New Ross when very young. He lived in Indianapolis, moved to Washington, D.C., and retired to Chattanooga, Va. He was a World War I veteran and was a plumber all his life. He was a nephew of Homer and Herman Linn and Mrs. Martha Elkins of New Ross. Surviving are two brothers, Otto and Paul of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Doris Oster of California; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jeann Murphy, Mrs. Alma Mae Bradley and Carol Linn, all of Chattanooga, and 10 grandchildren. – jlr
