WINGATE—Archie Blain Lidester, 74, who had lived and farmed in this area all his life, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at his home 2 1/2 miles east of here. He had been in ill health three years and seriously ill since June 27. A member of the Center Christian Church, he was born Dec. 25, 1890, near Wingate, to William and Sarah Wilson Lidester. He was married to Jaunita Crowder Aug. 18, 1929. He attended Mud Thomas school. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bill of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville, Jack of Rt. 1, Wingate, Richard of New Market and Larry at home; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Guy Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
