Covington - Daisy Leah Lewsader, 79 of Covington, a former justice of the peace, died Monday at 3:15 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. She had been a patient a week. Mrs. Lewsader was JP from 1960-1961. She drove a school bus for Rabb School 7 years during her earl life. She was a graduate of Old Bluff School, Wabash Twp and member of First Church of Christ, Covington. Born April 3 1897 at Covington, she was a daughter of Robert R. and Minnie Irene Lane Smith. She first married Frank M. Zickery (Vickery) and later married John C. Chezem. Both are deceased. She then married Sherman Lewsader on July 8, 1974. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Minnie Ellen) Clawson, Rt 3, Covington; a son, Frank Zickery (sic) of Covington; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesda yin Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.
