Coroner Keegan was called to the residence of C. W. Lewis, at 811 East College Street, Tuesday morning by the sudden death of a two weeks’ old baby. The parents stated that the child had been feeling all right at bedtime Monday night and nursed at 12 o’clock, but when the cool breeze came up about 1 o’clock they were awakened and found blood flowing from the nose of the child, it being dead. Dr. Keegan held an inquest and after an examination found that the baby had died from overheating, or heat apoplexy. The grief stricken parents were nearly frantic over the death and have the sympathy of all. The funeral occurred on Tuesday at 4 o’clock, the interment being at the Masonic Cemetery.
