WINGATE-- Mrs. Martha E. Lewis, mother of Mrs. Daniel Gross, Wingate businesswoman, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Dunn Memorial Hospital at Bedford. She had suffered a stroke Monday. Two other daughters survive --Mrs. Clayton Raney of Mitchell and Mrs. Howard Bever of Dana, Fla.--and a granddaughter reared by Mrs. Lewis, Miss Sue Harwood, a student at Indiana State. There are eight other grandchildren. Funeral rites are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Haverly Funeral Home at Mitchell

Note: Martha Lewis is buried in the Mitchell City Cemetery in Lawrence County, Indiana Section 6, Lot 62 (findagrave.com). Her dates are: 3-17-1883 to 7-12-1966 which goes perfectly with the obituary. Her husband guy is buried with her - his dates are 11-15-1876 to 5-22-1927. She is the daughter of Ed and Lucy (Buck) Dill. Thanks again, Kathy!
