WINGATE -- George Lewis, 80, resident of the Wingate and Newtown neighborhoods for many years, died Monday at Vincennes, following a heart attack which he suffered in his yard while getting his car ready for a trip to Florida, where he and Mrs. Lewis planned to spend the winter. During his residence in the Wingate and Newtown communities, Mr. Lewis conducted his farm near Wingate. He had resided in Vincennes for the past 10 or 12 years. He had been retired for many years. Survivors are his wife, and one daughter, Eleanor Shulze. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the St. James Episcopal Church at Vincennes. Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Linville of near Mellott, plan to attend the funeral services. Mr. Lewis was a cousin of Mr. Linville. --typed by Walt W
