Amelia Elizabeth Jackson, daughter of William and Cynthia Jackson was born in Montgomery Co Sept 22, 1857 and departed this life April 24, 1921, at the age of 64 years 7 months and 2 days. In 1877, on Feb 11, she was united in marriage to Albert G. Lewis. To this union 8 children were b. Deceased is survived by her husbad and 5 daughters, Mrs. Elva Pumphrey; Mrs. Lenora york of the state of Washington; Mrs. Nannie Proctor of Yountsville; Mrs. Ava Biggs of Black Creek and Mrs. May True of Demott, Ind; also one stepdau, Mrs. Carrie Schwenk of Wesley; one sister, Mrs. Alice Lowe of this city; one brother, Hyatt Jackson of Kouts, Ind; and 21 grandch. Early in life she united with the Roberts' Chapel Church, where her membership remained until her death. At all times she was ready to do what she could for the advancement of God's kingdom until failing health took hold of her over ready heart and stayed her willing hands. She was patient in all the hours of her suffering, trusting her Savior to the end. - kbz

Mrs. Amelia Lewis, 64, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at her home near Wesley. Her death was due to tuberculosis. Mrs. L. had been in poor health for two years, but her condition did not become serious until 4 months ago. She was b. in Mont. Co. Sept 22, 1857, the daughter of William E. and Cynthia Jackson. She was married to Albert G. Lewis and with the exception of 4 years spent in the northern part of the state, her entire life was spent in this County. The deceased was a member of Roberts' Chapel Church. She was the mother of 8, five of whom are living: Mrs. Elza Humprey, Mrs. Lenora York, residing in Washington; Mrs. Nannie Proctor of Yountsville; Mrs. David Briggs of Black Creek and MArs. Hal True of Demott, Ind. She is also survived by a stepdau, Mrs. Carrie Schwenck and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lowe of this city and Mrs. Hyatt Jackson of Konts, Ind. She is also survivede by 21 grandch. Fun. serv. will be conducted at Wesley Chapel Tues. morning at 10 :30 o'clock Rev. Tremaine will officiate and burial in Wesley Cemetery - kbz
