LADOGA – Wallace D. Lewellyn, 69, 404 E. Main St., Ladoga, died Tuesday in Winona Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Lewellyn was employed as a painter at Ladoga. He was a member of Ladoga Christian Church and Ladoga Masonic Lodge. Born July 8, 1900, in Chicago, he was the son of Joseph and Margaret Morrison Lewellyn. He was married to Edna Sharp. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Joseph of Indianapolis, Wallace of Grove City, Ohio, and Jack of Wingate; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Maye Gallion of Martinsville, Mrs. Jane Sabens of New Market and Mrs. Joanne VanCleave of Ladoga; and 14 grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Perkins Funeral Home at Ladoga. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Montgomery County Heart Fund. – jlr

Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review, August 19, 1976 In the news story reporting the death of Wallace D. Lewellyn, incorrect information was received concerning his age and date of birth. Mr. Lewellyn was born on July 8, 1903, and was 73 years-old. In the Wednesday, Aug. 18, edition of the Journal-Review he was listed as 69 years old and being born in 1907. The name of a brother, Joseph of California was omitted in the list of survivors. Mr. Lewellyn was married to Edna Sharp on Sept. 25, 1925. – jlr
