LINDEN — Robert Henry Lewellen, 73, a native of Montgomery County, died at 5 a.m. Friday in the Liter Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health the past year and seriously ill one week. Born June 15, 1882, Mr. Lewellen was the son of Thomas and Nancy Coleman Lewellen. He married Nannie Mathes in 1906. His wife died in 1938. Mr. Lewellen had lived in New Richmond since 1928. Surviving are a son, Paul Lewellen, Rt. 1, Wingate, and several nieces and nephews. Besides the wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the King and Brown Funeral Home at Linden, with burial at the Alamo Cemetery. Rev. John R. Servies of Crawfordsville will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
