Lewellen - Maude Steele

Mrs. Maude Lewellen, 72 died at 12:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her stepson, Byron Lewellen in Waynetown. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She had suffered a heart ailment for the past year. Mrs. Lewellen was born Dec 19, 1874 in Ohio the daughter of James and Fannie Struble Steele. She was married to William Lewellen in Crawfordsville on Dec 20, 1905. He preceded her in death Feb 11, 1935 She was a member of the Chirsitian Church in Crawfordsville. Surviving are the step son, Byron Lewellen, at whose home she died, a brother, Augustus Steele of Crawfordsville and astepgranddaughter, Nancy Lee Lewellen of Waynetown. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Baptist Church in Waynetown with Rev John N Cassady in charge. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
