-- Mary Leigh Lewellen went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2008. Mary grew-up in Bloomingdale, Indiana with her parents, Faye and Marvin Pickett. She married Robert F. Lewellen Oct 27, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Pickett and grandson, Joel Smith. Mary led a very full and giving life. She was dedicated to her family, church and community and gave of herself completely to all. She was a member of Browns Valley Christian Church, Eastern Star, Waveland American Legion Aux, Sugar Creek Square dancers and honorary member of Woodland Stars square dance club in Texas. She worked for Ingress Plastines 25 years. Mary was known for her wonderful "East Rolls" and apple butter which she never failed to bring to any dinner she attended in the community. She delighted many with Daisy June skits and was creative in all aspects of her life. Mary is survived by her husband, Robert F. Lewellen, her children Pat Mason of Crawfordsville, Richard a nd Veena of Mt. Vernona Was; Robert J. Lewellen of Ponca City, Ok; Alana a nd Randy Smith of Conroe, Tx and Mary Beth and Randy Kirk of Wellston, Ok; her grandchildren, Anakela, Paul, Christian, Kara, Nicole, Betsy, Patrice, Malia, Leslie and Jeff and 9 great grandchildren. Visitiation at Machlet & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland on Wed the 21st from 4-8 funeral on Thursday 2 2nd at 3:00 p.m. There will be no gravesides services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray the cost of the cancer treatment. A trust fund has been set up at Tri-County Bank at Russellville, IN and can be sent to Robert Lewellen FBO Mary #81117 or to 93 82 S. Main Street, Crawfordsville In 47933. Family would like to thank all who helped support in her time of sickness.
