Waynetown - Edward O. Lewellen, 73 who had resided in this area all his life died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at C'ville where he had been a patient since last Thursday. Mr. Lewellen had been employed by the Waynetown Sawmill many years and was a former custodian of the local schools. He was a membr of Fremont Baptist Church in Crawfordsville. Born July 21, 1897 at Alamo he was the son of Thomas & Frances Moore Lewellen. He was married July 7, 1928 to Mary Farnces West. He is survoved by 5 sons, Lewis and Tom of Waynetown, Gordon of near Darlington, Robert of C'ville and Clifford of Phoenix, two daughters, Mrs. Frances Williamson of Evansville and Mrs. Ruth Howard of Willard, Ohio; one brother, Herbert of Wayentown; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Douglas and Mrs. Godie Graves of C'ville also 35 grandchildren and two greats. Fun serv will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home with Rev DW Stackhouse offic. Burial will be in Wayentown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
