Alamo - Mrs. Catherine Lewellen, 82, died Saturday in the home of her daughter at Carson, California where she had made her home for two years. She was a former long time Alamo resident and member of the 1st Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. She was born May 27, 1892, in Charleston SC the daughter of Samuel J. and Lillie Connor Padgett. She married Archie Lewellen October 18, 1911. He died in Aug of 1964. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Alvin and Arnold and a daughter, Mrs. Mary McClamrock. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Wenona Tague of Carson Calif; Mrs. Joyce Ibarra of Palm Springs, Calif; Mrs. Peggy Brown of Covina, Calif; 34 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m Thursday at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, the Rev. Guy Tremaine will officiate. Friends may call at the Servies Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown after 4 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
