Waveland -- Arnold Lewellen of Waveland died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Mr. Lewllen became ill Tuesday at work at RR Donnelley & Sons Co. at Crawfordsville and was taken to the hospital. Survivors include the wife, Covetta and two sons in the military service. The body was taken to Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Waynetown - Funeral services for Arnold J. Lewellen, 51, who died at 10;20 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville are announced for 2 p.m. Saturday at Servies Funeral Home, Rev. John Servies will officiate with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the fuenral home after 7 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Lewellen was stricken ill Tuesday while at work at the Donnelley plant in Crawfordsville. A native of Waynetown, he was born July 18, 1915 to Archie & Kathryn Padgett Lewellen. On June 1, 1941 he was wed to Cozetta Ward, who survives. For the last two years they lived in Waveland. Mr. Lewellen was a member of Waynetown Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran enlisting in Feb 1942 and serving until Sept. 1945. He was an airplane mechanic and cook. Prior to the war he was employed 13 years at the Wayneotwn Grain Co. He had worked the last 21 years at Donnelleys. Surviving besides the wife are his mother, in Crawfordsville; 3 sons, Jerry a specialist Fifth Class, Ft. Knox, Ky; Steve, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo; Terry, at home; two daughters, Lois and Judy, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Mary McClamroch of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Warren Tague, Mrs. Robert Ibarra and Mrs. William Brown, all in California and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in 1964 by his father and a brother, Alvin died in 1943.- kbz
