Waynetown June 23 - Alvin I. Lewellen, 29, died at 3:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been ill about ayear and had been in the hospital six weeks. Death was ascribed to a brain tumor. Mr. Lewellen was born Dec 15, 1913 in Waynetown, the son of AA and Katherine Padgett Lewellen. He was married to Marie Simms who survives on Aug 22, 1930. He was employed in a local elevator. In addition to the widow, Mr. Lewellen is survived by three sons Alvin, Jr. Sammy and Teddy by his parents, by one brother, Arnold Lewellen of the army and 4 sisters Mrs. mary McClamroch and Mrs. Warren King Crawfordsville, Mrs Lyle C. Krout, Fresno, Calif and Miss Peggy Lewellen at home. The body will be returned to the Grenard & Servies funeral home here to await funeral arrangments which will be announced later.
