Darlington – Mrs. Alice LaPage (LePage) 91 a local businesswoman died this morning at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. Born in Montgomery County, she attended Darlington Schools and Wiley School at Terre Haute. Mrs. LaPage operated an antique business in her Darlington residence for 50 years. She was a member of Darlington Methodist Church, Fortnightly Needle Club, Garden Club and 50-year member of Darlington Order of Eastern Star. In 1909 she was married at Terre Haute to Jules Leon LaPage, who died in 1958. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Julie J. Young of Greencastle and Mrs. Natalie Ford of North Hollywood, Calif and one sister, Mrs. Mary Morrow of Santa Monica, Calif. - kbz

Darlington – Alice LaPage, 91, of Darlington died at 4:50 a.m. today in Culver Hospital. Mrs. LaPage operated an antique business in her home for about 50 years. She was a member of Darlington United Methodist Church, Darlington Garden Club and Fortnightly Naval Club. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star of Darlington. She was born April 7, 1888 in Montgomery County, a daughter of Comadore and Sarah Lowe Fink. She attended school at Darlington and Terre Haute. She was married April 9, 1909 at Terre Haute to Jules Leon LaPage who died in 1958. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Julie J. Young of Greencastle and Mrs. Natalie Ford of North Hollywood, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Mary Morrow of Santa Monica, Calif; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Otto Fink. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home Darlington Chapel with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Darlington. Order of Eastern Star services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
