Arthusa Adelia Rowley was born in Fulton County, Illinois, March 12, 1846. She united with the Christian Church early in life and remained faithful to the end. She was married to George Wilson, Feb. 12, 1867. To this union one child was born, Flora. On Nov. 7, 1888, she was married to James Leonard.
She has been a constant sufferer for the past eight years. Only those who were with her constantly realized how great was her affliction. She was an earnest worker of the Willing Workers’ Society and it was always her wish that they meet at her home so she could be with them and aid in the work. On May 23, while sitting at the table after the evening meal the death angel came to release the spirit and bear it back to the God who gave it. She was the daughter of Mrs. Christiana Stewart, of South Grant Avenue. – thanks to S for this one
