John D. Lemon died yesterday morning at his home on Ohio Street after a lingering illness. Mr. Lemon was born in Crawfordsville, IN Feb 21, 1859. He came to Lawrence 11 years ago and has been engaged in the real estate business all of the time. At one time he was a member of the city council. He leaves a father, Dr. WH Lemon, a brother, ES Lemon and two sisters, Mrs. JW O’Bryon and Mrs. RM Morrison. The funeral will be held from the home Saturday at 2 o’clock.
