Lenard H. Lehman, who coached Wingate High School's 1914 state championship basketball team, died Friday in a hospital at Chisholm, Minn., according to word received by relatives here. He was born in Boone County to Mr. and Mrs. John Lehman. After graduating from Darlington High School, he attended Danville Normal College, Rose Poly at Terre Haute and finished his college work in Colorado. He taught school at Bowers and Wingate and then in Minnesota until he retired. Mr. Lehman was married to the former Margie Fleming of Emerald, Wis. Surviving are the widow; two children, Robert of McGregor, Minn., and Betty Marie of Tucson, Ariz. and eight sisters, Mrs. Chester Abney of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. William Scheid of Chicago, Mrs. C. V. Patton of Shelbyville, Mrs. Ward Linn and Mrs. Dessie Marty, both of Bloomington, Mrs. Georgia Grissom of Cincinnati and Mrs. Audria Massing and Mrs. Dortha Patterson, both of Crawfordsville. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in a Chisholm church. Burial will be Wednesday in the family lot at Emerald.
