Mrs. Priscilla Lee, of whose sickness we made mention last week, died last Saturday morning at her residence in this city, in the 82d year of her age. Mrs. Lee was born in Pennsylvania in 1796. In the year 1800 she removed with her parents to Butler county, Ohio where she remained till 1817. She was married in 1816 and in 1817 she removed with her husband to Vigo county Ind. In 1823 they removed to this county and settled on a farm a few miles east of this city. Mrs. Lee united with the Old School Baptist church in Ohio, in 1816 and was one of the few Baptists that organized the Sugarcreek church, the first Baptist church organized in this county, and of which she remained a member until the day of her death. The funeral services took place Monday from the Old School Baptist church on Walnut street and were conducted by Elder Southard, assisted by Elder M.M. Vancleave. The remains were interred in the Lee cemetery, a short distance east of the city.

Died in this city on Saturday April 12th at the age of 80 years, Mrs. Priscilla Lee, mother of James and David Lee. The deceased was one of our oldest citizens and a consistent member of the Presdestenarian Baptist Church from childhood.
