Henry K. Lee, 64, former Lafayette resident, dropped dead at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon at his tile factory in Francesville. He had just returned from an auto trip to Valparaiso and was helping his men load tile onto a truck when he fell over unconscious. He was hurried to his home in Francesville where a doctor pronounced him lifeless. The family left here 8 years ago after residing here several years during which time Mr. Lee was employed by the Northern Indiana Public Service Company. For many years he was associated with his father, who operated a tile factory in Crawfordsville. He also operated tile factories at New Richmond and Colfax. Mr. Lee was born in Crawfordsville on Jan 1, 1866 the son of Maurice & Margaret Lee. He was united in marriage to Nannie Price on May 28, 1886. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Masonic Lodge. Surviving are the widow; the step mother, Mrs. MJ Lee of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Overmyer of Francesville; one son, Frank Lee, a farmer residing north of Terre Haute; two brothers, Walter Lee of Chicago and Maurice Lee of Crawfordsville; and two sisters, Miss Ruth Lee of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Katherine Lee Britton, also of that city. The body was taken to the home of his step-mother, Mrs. MJ Lee, 603 South Washington Street, Crawfordsville Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery. – kbz
