Mrs. Alice LEATH, wife of Joseph Leath, who lately moved from W. Main Street to the Burford Farm near New Market, died on Saturday morning. Death resulted from chronic heart trouble. She was the daughter of Albert and Addie JACKSON and was born near Mellott June 27, 1880. She was married Jan 19, 1901. She is survived by the husband, and two sisters, Mrs. Lola Hill and Mrs. Mabel Bartholomew and 3 half brother, lon, Josh and Fred Lanum. A short service was held at the home on Tuesday, and another service at Colfax ME Church, conducted by Rev. NT Gottschall. Those going from here were Rev. Mrs. Gottschall; Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hunsicker; Mrs. Elby Emmert; Mrs. Kesterson; Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Ernest White. - kbz
