Harry S. League, 76, of Indianapolis and the father of Mrs. Chilson Bishop of Crawfordsville died at 6:15 p.m. in Methodist Hospital at the capital city. He had been hospitalized for only four hours. Mr. League was machinist at Link Belt Co. in Indianapolis for several years before his retirement. He was a member of the Eighth Christian Church and an Indianapolis Masonic Lodge. He was born on Dec. 23, 1890, in Johnson County near Greenwood. He was married on June 10, 1914, to Clara Smitha who survives. Surviving besides the wife and Mrs. Bishop are another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Reese of Columbus, Ind.; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the oyster & Askin Funeral Home on West Washington Street in Indianapolis. Burial will be in an Edinburg cemetery.
