The funeral of Mr. Henry Layson occurred at the home Sunday afternoon at two o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Crowder ,pastor of the Christian Church.

Henry Layson was born in Pike County, Missouri Aug 15, 1840 and died Nov 29, 1901 aged 61 years 3 months 14 days. He was married to Susan Tinsley Sept 10, 1861. To them were born 9 childrne, 3 having died in early childhood. He leaves a wife and six children, 12 grandchildren and one brother to mourn. He united with the Christian Church 43 years ago and remained in that faith till death. His funeral was preached by Elder Conner of Indianapolis. His remains were laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery. Mr. Layson was a man well respected by all those that knew him.  Truly we can say a good man has fallen.
