Mrs. Sarah Layne, wife of John Layne, died at the Insane Asylum at Indianapolis last Saturday night of consumption at the age of 43 years. She had been at the asylum but a few days and her death was quite unexpected. She was married twice, her first husband being named Reilly (sic) She leaves a husband and two daughters, Sarah and Lizzie Reily. The interment was at Calvary Cemetery Monday afternoon. - kbz

Saturday night at the Indiana Insane Hospital Mrs. Sarah Layne, wife of John Layne, died of consumption. She had been in the asylum but a few days and her death was quite sudden. She was 43 years old and had been married twice, her former husband being named Rielly. She leaves beside her husband two daughters, Sadie and Lizzie Reilly. The funeral occurred on Monday, interment at Calvary cemetery.

The grim reaper has been busy in our midst in the last three days and some well known citizens have succumbed to him.

The funeral occurred this afternoon with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
