Mrs. John M. Layne died at 10 o’clock last night of heart trouble at the age of 23 years. She was married July 14, 1891 and leaves besides her husband, one little girl by her first marriage. The remains were taken to Lafayette this afternoon for interment in the Catholic Cemetery. – transcribed by kbz
Note: Although the marriage date was off a few days I hope this is the correct lady
