Donald L. Layne, 44, Rt. 4, former route salesman for Allman Pie Co. and Kyger Pie Co., died Sunday in his home. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born Oct. 10, 1927, in Crawfordsville, he was a son of Dr. Lloyd and Florence Webb Layne. He attended Crawfordsville schools. Survivors include his father, of Crawfordsville, a brother, Dan of Edinburg, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy L. Amastadt of Coco, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
