BLOOMINGDALE — Horace Melvin Lawson, 53, employe of Santussi Construction Co., was dead on arrival at Union Hospital at Terre Haute, after suffering a heart attack at work. Mr. Lawson had been with the company only three months. He was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Stoddard County, Missouri, a son of Hershel and Mabel Harwood Lawson. He was married to Ruby Shotts on Dec. 31, 1936. Surviving with the widow and mother, who resides at Rt. 3, Rockville, are four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Beasley of Rt. 3, Greencastle; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Truax of Waveland; Mrs. Frank (Mary Jo) Norman of Bloomingdale and Gloria Lawson, at home; three sons, Melvin of Bloomingdale, James of Marshall and Robert of Judson; two brothers, Charles of Indianapolis and James of Logansport; 12 grandchildren, two nieces and an uncle. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Tudor Funeral Home at Rockville with the Rev. James O. Truesdale officiating. Burial will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.--waw
